Our fine “Sterling Selections” sterling silver pieces should be enjoyed for their fine quality and fabulous designs. Be it our earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, pendants, or chains, knowing you have a piece made with such superb quality will make you feel fabulous!
Given the proper care, with any choice of our fine “Sterling Selections” sterling silver earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, pendants, or chains you will certainly maintain your elegance for years to come and your sterling jewelry will retain it’s shine & luster forever. Keeping your silver jewelry clean & well taken care of is a must for it to look best. Not keeping up your silver jewelry will cause it to dull & look dirty. Many museums display silver jewelry created thousands of years ago. With proper care, your “Sterling Selections” sterling jewelry can be an heirloom passed on for many generations to come!
All of our “Sterling Selections” sterling silver pieces are made of 92.5% pure silver, however, pure silver alone is too soft to create durable jewelry therefore is mixed with other metals to enhance it’s performance. Of the metals, copper is the most commonly used to make the silver harder. While making the silver harder, however, it also gives the silver a tendency to tarnish - a darkening which occurs when the sterling silver reacts with gases in the air or other substances that it comes in contact with.
Proper care of your fine sterling silver pieces:
First & foremost: DO NOT use a cleaner that contains abrasives as this will scratch and dull your sterling silver jewelry.
A solution of warm water & a mild detergent used with a soft cotton cloth is best especially for pieces which contain precious gemstones. Silver polish can cause damage to your gemstones. A soft bristle brush can be used to reach into more intricate parts of the sterling silver piece.
Be sure to thoroughly dry your sterling silver piece before storing it and never store it where there is moisture.
Proper storage of your fine sterling silver pieces:
As your sterling silver piece can be easily scratched, it should be stored in a place where it is sure not to rub against any other pieces of jewelry or hard surfaces.
If you are not going to wear your piece for a while, it is best to seal it tightly in the “zippie” bag provided to you at time of purchase to keep it away from moisture.
As your natural body oils help prevent tarnish it is best to wear your “Sterling Selections” sterling silver piece as often as you can.
****We do not recommend wearing your “Sterling Selections” piece in a swimming pool, hot tub, during strenuous sporting activities, or while on the beach.
Blue in color, trimmed in yellow gold, the jewelry box comes complete with a 2 piece outer carton.
